Privacy notice

This site has no forms, no accounts and collects no data by itself. There are no profiling cookies, no advertising and no third-party analytics tools.

The only data we receive is what you send us yourself, on your own initiative, by writing to us on WhatsApp, by email or by phone: we use it to answer your request and, if you book, to manage your stay.

• Contact and booking data (name, contact details, dates, number of guests): used to answer your request and, if you book, to manage your stay. Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request.
• Guests' identity document data: Italian law requires us to report it to the police (Questura) through the Alloggiati Web portal within 24 hours of arrival, and to send statistical data to the Region. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Invoicing and accounting data, where due. Legal basis: legal obligation.
• Technical browsing data: the hosting provider records visits to the site in its log files, for security and diagnostics.

With the bodies the law requires us to inform (Questura, Region, Municipality for the tourist tax, Revenue Agency), with the site's hosting provider, with the email service provider and with the accountant. We do not sell or pass data to anyone else.

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the conversation goes through the servers of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., under that service's terms. If you'd rather avoid this, you can email or call us.

The site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A., which also provides the email service for info@newcastlelakecomo.com. As hosting provider, Aruba may process technical browsing data and server logs (IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type) for security and diagnostics.

The OpenStreetMap map is not loaded when the page opens: it loads only after you click on the box. Until you do, no request is sent to that service.

Links to WhatsApp, Airbnb and Google Maps lead away from this site: clicking them takes you to external services, subject to their own privacy notices.

Requests that don't turn into bookings are deleted within twelve months. Booking data is kept for the time required by tax and administrative obligations, normally ten years.

Providing your data is optional, but without your contact details we can't answer your request, and without your document details we can't host you, because registration is required by law.

We don't use automated decision-making and we don't do profiling: no decision about you is taken by a program.

You can ask at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing or receive a copy of it, by writing to info@newcastlelakecomo.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
